How can you tell the difference betweem a frog or toad?
Q. Okay here's the details: My friend, my cousin, and I were outside at 7:50. We were at my grandma's house because my grandfather passed away Wednesday and his funeral was Yesterday: Monday. Anyway we saw a frog/toad (don't know the difference) So I went in the house and told my dad that we saw a frog./toad. He told me to put it in a plastic party cup. I took the cup outside and I was about to catch it but my friend wanted to! So I let him. But we needed another cup to top it so I went in the house and got another cup! How can you tell a frog from a toad? Which one give you warts if it pees on you?

What can I put in my 10 gallon tank with a firebelly toad?
Q. Its about 1/2 water with large rocks and narrow areas the small frog (little over 2") cant even get to. I'd prefer something that can be in the water or on land, like the toad. Keep in mind, this toad is toxic! If anything as big as a large goldfish touches it, they will suffer a psychedelic death. If I wanted to I could "enjoy" his toxins, but I got that out of my system in college. Thanks for the help.

Toad problem! How can I keep toads out of a ground level pond?
Q. We were over run with toad eggs in our 1st season, then over run with tadpoles, then had thousands of itty bitty toads hopping all over the place. Our pond has lot of plants, so plenty of places to hide eggs. The only thing I can think of is a barrier for a few months. Any help? Without being harmful to our fish.

Toad in the hole - how can I stop it sticking to the pan?

I use the same batter as I do for yourkshire puds (which don't stick) and plenty of hot oil, but still it sticks. Any suggestions? toad in the hole is an English dish. It is made up of sausages cooked in a yorkshire pudding batter. It is very tasty (when it doesn't stick to the pan)!

A. This may sound weird, but it works. Pick up the toad with your thumb and index finger by its "waist", just above the back legs. If it vibrates, it is a male. If it doesn't, it is a female. Males clasp females this way when mating, and they vibrate to tell other males "I am not a female". Weird, but true. Give it a try.

A. I would like to know if your using dechlorinated water? If you are, then it sounds like they have some type of fungus. Frogs are very susceptible to infections when the water is not kept clean. Clean out the tank, vacuum the gravel and clean the filter. If things don't get better in a couple of days then try treating them with Myacin(you can get this at your local petstore.) Good luck!
