How long can toads/frogs live with out eating?

A. Well this is a good question, but it is not easily answered. There are many things that will affect how often and how much a frog or toad must consume. If they remain in a state of suspended animation during the dry season on the savanah, they they have shown to go up to several years without eating. If they are active all year and are in the sun, being pursuied by predators, they may need to eat a minimum of 10% of their body weight every 2 days. Its a very difficult question, it also depends on what they ate for their last meal. For example an american bullfrog can eat mice and birds if it can catch them, so with soemthing like that in its gut, it can probably go 3 weeks without "the need" to eat.
